I have played millions of hands of vingt-et-un. I began sneaking into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have bet on online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent an abundance of money at twenty-one. The casinos have made it almost impossible to defeat the casino.
I still enjoy the game and play on a regular basis. Over the years I have bet on a type of blackjack called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this tactic or beat the casino, however you will have an abundance of fun. This method is founded on the fact that blackjack seems to be a game of streaks. When you’re hot your on fire, and when you’re not you are NOT!
I bet with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I lose I bet the table minimum on the successive hand. If I do not win again I wager the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the action back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and never back out. It gets very exciting at times. If you win a few hands in a row your wagers go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a few times now. I departed a $5 table at the MGM a number of years back with $750 after 35 mins using this technique! And a couple of months ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!
You need to understand that you can lose much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be amazed at the runs you see betting this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar table.
Wager five dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the original 5 dollar bet
Bet $5
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Bet $10
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 10 dollar bet
Bet 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $20
Bet twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial twenty dollar bet
Bet twenty dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $40
Bet 40 dollar
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first forty dollar wager
Bet 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $80
Wager $80
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the first eighty dollar bet
Bet 80 dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total wager of $160
Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 160 dollar bet
If you left at this instance you would be up 315 dollar !!
It’s iffy to go on a streak this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your bet or the end result will not be the same.
