I have enjoyed countless of rounds of vingt-et-un. I started working my way into the gambling dens when I was 16. I have bet on online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of cash at 21. The casinos have made it basically impossible to beat the game.
I still enjoy the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over the years I have bet on a variation of blackjack called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get rich with this method or beat the casino, still you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is centered on the idea that chemin de fer appears to be a game of streaks. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I bet with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I lose I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I lose again I bet the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Once I win I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the wager back down to the original sum.
I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets very exciting sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in series your wagers go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are gambling $100-200/ hand. I have had great runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Paris a few years ago with $750 after 20 mins using this method! And a number of weeks ago in Atlantic City I left a game with $1200!
You must understand that you can relinquish much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the runs you notice wagering this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a five dollar game.

Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the first five dollar bet
Wager five dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $10
Bet 10 dollar
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the first ten dollar wager
Bet $10
Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total wager of $20
Bet $20
Take $20 paid to you, leave the original 20 dollar wager
Bet 20 dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of forty dollar
Wager $40
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 40 dollar bet
Wager $40
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total bet of eighty dollar
Wager eighty dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the first $80 wager
Bet eighty dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total wager of $160
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the first one hundred and 60 dollar wager
If you departed at this moment you would be up $315 !!
It is herculean to go on a streak this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and drop your bet or the end result won’t be the same.
